We all packed into my (tony's) van and headed to Winona, Minnesota. By "we all" I mean Anthony, Dustin, Liza and me. Nick drove himself. That's one of the bummers of not having a vehicle that fits the band, the gear, and the merch girl. We end up always having to take at least two vehicles. It sucks, especially in a world in which we're trying to be more environmentally conscious. But that's what we did.

We were invited by Peter Boysen of Good Luck and Godspeed to be a part of this bill. Tonight's show was one of their guitarist's final show, so people came out to bid farewell to him. The gig was at Ed's (No Name) Bar. We found out soon why it's called that. There were no distinct name markings anywhere on the building. There was a sign out front that had some shapes on it, but no letters, numbers, etc. It was only by reading show posters on the window that we could be absolutely certain that this was the correct place to be. Ed's is a cool and interesting place. It is a bar, but it has a very distinct coffee house feel to it. It's very cozy and couches, coffee tables, art on the walls, and warm colors make up the decor.

We played last tonight and it was another one of those bangin' shows in which we really tried to keep everyone grooving and in the venue, since most of them probably came for GLaGSpeed. We didn't want to be the room broom of the night, if you know what I mean. Like I said before, it was a very cozy room. The stage pretty much just accomodated the drumkit and the amps, with the others standing on the floor in front of it. And boy, was it hot. Luckily, though, there was an open window right next to the stage and from time to time, I could feel a heavenly cool breeze. It was a really fun room, though, and we were sure to tell the staff that we loved it.

After the show we had a really friendly chat with Priscilla from Maudlin (she and Dave were both there to catch GLaGSpeed and stuck around for us) as well as a few other dudes. It turns out that she and I (tony) know a couple of the same people, since she spent some time in South Dakota as a kid.

When it was all said and done, Peter had offered us a place to crash, but Dustin had to work in the morning and it's only a three-hour drive. So we got in our vehicles and departed. Nick pulled over to sleep at one point, and we got pulled over for a dead headlight. Just a warning though, so no worries. It's fixed now.

The fun continues.
