5/16/96 - Thompson Auditorium - Jamestown, N.D.

Set:
| Little Johnny Boy | Tin Man | Chambermaid | Cry the Song |

This was the first Junebug show Anthony and I (tony) ever played for people aside from our friend Robin's basement or Dustin's car in the Perkins parking lot. We played as a duo under the name Junebug. The band's lineup was in some strange limbo at that point. Our bassist, Kelly had already left to be a part of Outpatient 13, and for some forgotten reason, Dustin did not play. He attended, however, and took some photographs.

It was a four-song set, comprised of pretty much the only songs we had fully written at that point. I played guitar on two songs, and drums on the other two. Anthony played keys on two. My guitar wasn't working for some reason, and Travis from Outpatient 13 lent me his Fender Jag-stang, which I enjoyed immensely.

Also notable at this, our first show, was the attire. Anthony and I both wore our McDonald's shirts, since we were both employees at the time. For the record, Dustin was a McD's employee as well.

Keeping in mind our age at the time, it was probably a decent show. It's hard to remember, it was so long ago. I distinctly remember seeing a camcorder light in the balcony of the auditorium, but to this day I have never seen a tape of this performance.
